A Deliberate Approach to Building Websites
I'm a web developer with a background in full-stack software engineering. I've spent the last several years building and maintaining real-world web systems, and I take pride in doing the work well.
I enjoy building things that are clear, elegant, and built to last.
My focus is building something solid, not creating work you’ll need to redo later.
I care deeply about the quality of the user experience. I don't chase trends, and I don't ship things I wouldn't want to support in the future. My goal is to build websites that feel calm to use and solid under the hood.
Outside of code, I value routines and systems that help me focus and stay present. I enjoy early mornings, good jazz, and thoughtful work done at a sustainable pace. That mindset naturally carries over into how I design and build for the web.
I chose the name Stillwater because it reflects how I like to work. I believe good work happens in calm, focused environments, with fewer distractions and clearer decisions. Stillwater is a reminder to slow down, think things through, and build with intention.
I tend to work best with individuals and small organizations who value clarity, thoughtfulness, and long-term thinking. If you're looking for something solid and well-considered rather than rushed or flashy, we'll likely be a good fit.
If that approach resonates with you, let's talk.
